It manages scanning, indexing and batching -- simplex and duplex, color and bitonal. You can easily export batches to many popular applications (such as scan-to-Web, magnetic storage, or CD authoring), complete with associated index data.

Versions

Capture Software Lite is a special version of Capture Software that is shipped with all units of the Kodak i30, i40, i50, i55, i60, i65, i80 Scanners and i1200, i1300, i100, i200, i1400 Series Scanners.. This production version is sufficient to be used as a departmental scanning application. It allows scanning, viewing, and storing of images in standard batch output formats (e.g., Single-Page TIFF, Multi-page TIFF, PDF, and Multiple Batch Output Formats). All features of the Kodak Scanners are supported. In addition, Auto-Crop and Deskew (for both front and rear images) with the i80 Scanner is supported. No hardware key is required.

A full featured version can be purchased through a Reseller of Kodak Document Imaging Products. For a full featured production scanning application, upgrade to the full production version of Kodak Capture Software to receive the following additional features and functionality:

• Software bar code and patch code reading

• OCR Indexing

• Full indexing of up to 10 index fields from bar codes, OCR zones, MICR codes, or key data entry (only one index field is available in Lite mode)
