High - Speed, High - Quality Scanning
Advanced on-board JPEG compression technology and new CIS line sensors are
used to boost scanning speed. The DR-9080C scans up to 90 pages per minute in
B/W/Grayscale mode and 50 ppm in Color mode.
Higher Image Quality
The new smoothing function reduces moiré and improves image quality.
The advanced text enhancement function makes text and numbers more legible against
shaded backgrounds.
Wrinkled documents do not produce shades on the scanned image thanks to the
use of a new mechanism.

Compact and easy to use
The scanner's compact design features an adjustable paper feed and eject tray
that can accommodate paper sizes of up to A3.
With the extendible auxiliary eject tray and stopper, the scanner offers greater
flexibility for stacking different sizes of documents.

The operating panel has been simplified for greater ease of operation.
Consumables
For outstanding ease and economy of maintenance, all rollers (pick-up, feed
and retard rollers) are replaceable by the user.
FUNCTIONS
A Host of Functions to Benefit the User
Multistream Function
The scanner can output multiple images in different modes in a single scan. Just
select at the touch of a button the image output you need to save color images
for archive and B/W images for OCR, for example. This offers greater efficiency
in document scanning to suit your particular purpose.
Image rotate function
The scanner recognizes the direction of characters and rotates the image to the
correct document direction automatically.
Simple staple detection
When stapled originals are fed the staple detector senses the "lift-up"
and automatically stops the scanner.
Double-feed detection
The ultrasonic double-feed detector senses when pages are fed together.
New High-performance
Utility Software
These advanced scanner models feature the new high-performance
utility software Capture Perfect 3.0. Its new functions include:
1) Saving documents as a searchable PDF through OCR processing.
2) Scan batch mail for easy transmission by e-mail.
In addition to these advanced software features, the scanner offers a host of
new functions that can be set from the hardware /driver and can be used in
Capture Perfect.
