Maximum scanning speed (70
ppm) is the same for color, grayscale and black & white scanning, so you can
expect quick job completion with practically any job.
High Quality Color Images
Documents can be scanned in
24-bit color, with an advanced CCD sensor making sure of superb color
reproduction with graphs, charts, photos, and more.
Reliable Document Feeding
The Auto Document Feeder (ADF) has a
capacity of up to 100 sheets of standard paper, and is designed to handle
A3-size paper as well as longer documents. Canon
technology provides exceptionally smooth feeding.
User Friendly Design
The ADF can be lifted open easily whenever
flatbed scanning is needed.
And by raising the ADF on its hinges, books and other thick objects can be
placed flat on the platen glass for clearer scans.
Easy, Copier Like Operation
For unmatched ease of use, the
DR-7080C lets you start scanning directly from the operation panel. In addition,
with the Job Mode you can save settings for tasks such as Scan to Mail or Scan
to Print, and later access these settings through the operation panel.*

Convenient Software
ISIS/Twain Driver Features
The ISIS/TWAIN driver of
the DR-7080C shares the same easy-to-use software interface as other
Canon DR scanners. It offers many useful image
processing functions, such as advanced text enhancement, deskew, color dropout,
and skip blank page.
Correct Image Orientation
The displayed image on the PC
is the same as how the document was placed on the feeder, without any rotation
setting applied. Of course, you can also intentionally rotate the image by 90,
180, or 270 degrees. Another function, perfect for use with unsorted batches,
will check how the text is printed on each document and rotate the image
accordingly.
Two Options for Duplex
Scanning
When scanning two-sided
documents with the ADF, you can select in advance the orientation of the back
side of the document to obtain images with consistent orientation.
MulitStreamä
Scanning
This technology enables you to
produce two types of images with one scan: for example, a color image for
archiving and a black & white image for OCR. MultiStream is a trademark of Pixel
Translations, a division of Captiva Software Corporation.
CapturePerfect Features
Canon's
scanning application, CapturePerfect, includes many image processing functions,
MultiStream support, and other handy features.
Split Image Settings
When scanning a large
document, such as a two-page spread on the flatbed, CapturePerfect can
conveniently split the image down the middle and save the two images in separate
files. Available file formats are TIFF (single or multi-page), BMP, JPEG, and
PDF. Scanning for PDF
or E-mail
With CapturePerfect you can
scan and save documents as searchable PDF files, and prepare a batch of
documents for immediate e-mail delivery.
Display Options
For quick and easy
visual confirmation of document images,
CapturePerfect can display thumbnail images as well
