Fast Scanning - Even in Color

Featuring advanced 3-line CMOS contact image sensor technology, the DR-4010C can scan documents in color just as quickly as in black & white - at a fast 42 pages per minute (84 images per minute).
Additionally, JPEG transfer reduces the time it takes to transfer data to PC.

A variety of document,  easily handled

The scanner features a versatile dual paper path design that allows it to accommodate diverse document types. The default U-turn paper path handles documents of standard thickness up to A4/LTR-size, and the straight paper path takes care of thick items - even plastic ID cards.

Images captured in their entirety

The DR-4010C is equipped with a 236mm (9.3 in.) wide image sensor that extends past the width of your document* to ensure that all documents are scanned in full. Margin scan lets you add top, bottom, left, and right margins to expand the scanning area so that no part of an image gets cut off - even if a document is fed skewed.

Reliable document feeding

Canon's innovative feeding mechanism with retard roller ensures reliable page separation for fast, unattended batch scanning. For protection against double feeds, the scanner is equipped with ultrasonic sensors.
These sensors detect the gap between overlapping pages, which prevents them from going through the scanner at the same time. If a misfeed should occur, the Rapid Recovery System allows you to simply reposition the document and seamlessly continue scanning.

Job buttons for one-touch scanning

Three customizable Job buttons offer quick access to frequently used scan functions. Routine scan jobs such as Scan to E-mail are easily assigned using the scanner's Job Registration Tool to enable one-touch scanner control.

Advanced scanner technology

Fine lines and intricate image detail can be captured with utmost precision and clarity thanks to advanced scanner technology and a high optical resolution of 600dpi. And the DR-4010C features many efficiency-boosting image processing functions such as automatic page size detection, skip blank page, deskew, text orientation recognition, and more to provide fast, unattended batch scanning.

Superior color reproduction

The scanner's 3-line sensor is also responsible for the exceptional accuracy of color scans. Combined with the pinpoint color matching of the 3-Dimensional Color Correction chip, the result is vivid 24-bit color images that are true to the original document and free of unwanted color staining.

Consistent image quality

To ensure consistent image quality, the DR-4010C performs an automatic calibration process called shading prior to each scan job. In an all-new mechanism that provides protection against dust, the image sensor shifts to calibrate itself against a special white shading surface that's affixed directly on the sensor glass.

Automatic color detection

It's no longer necessary to separate black & white and color documents prior to scanning. This scanning mode allows the DR-4010C to automatically determine which documents of a mixed batch should be scanned in color, based on the amount of color detected on each document.

Clean, clear images from hard-to-scan documents

The Punch Hole Removal feature detects and removes the black dots left on an image after scanning a document with binder holes. Moiré´ Reduction reduces unwanted moiré´ pattern effects when scanning documents containing heavy graphic elements at lower resolutions. And "Prevent Bleed Through/Remove Background" keeps the back side of thin documents from showing through in the image

Text enhancement modes for better OCR

Choose from three text enhancement modes to optimize the readability of documents, such as those with light colored text or patterned backgrounds, for more accurate OCR.
