The DR-2580C achieves fast 25 page-per-minute scanning in Black and White or Grayscale, and can simultaneously scan both sides of double-sided documents at 50 ipm (A4/LTR, 200 dpi). The automatic document feeder can hold up to 50 sheets for efficient batch scanning.

Auto-shading for exceptional image quality and consistent tones.

Prior to scanning each batch of documents, the Auto-Shading mechanism automatically adjusts the scanner's shading levels. The resulting scans are crisp, consistent, and extremely legible, maximizing optical character recognition performance and text readability.

Vivid color reproduction with 3-Diminsional Color Correction

Incorporating an advanced conversion algorithm for pinpoint color matching, 3-Dimensional Color Correction delivers 24-bit color images that are true to the original document. And with 600 dpi optical resolution, the scanner provides highly accurate reproduction of fine lines and detail.

Straight Path paper feeding for smooth card scanning
In addition to a U-Turn paper path, the scanner features a short, straight paper path that ensures secure transport for thin documents, thick documents, business cards, and even plastic ID cards.
Scan documents up to A3-size with Folio Mode
f you need to scan a larger document up to A3/11" x 17" in size, simply fold it in half and use Folio Mode. Both sides of the folded document are scanned and automatically combined into one seamless image.
Document with binder holes?  No Problem!
Get highly readable scans even from documents punched with binder holes. The holes of such documents would normally appear in a scanned image as black dots, but Punch Hole Removal automatically whitens these dots for a clean-looking image.
Add the capacity to scan books, fragile documents, and more
The DR-2580C can be paired with an optional Flatbed Scanner Unit to enable the scanning of documents that are too thick or fragile to go through the document feeder. With a double-hinge cover design, scanning books and other bound documents is a breeze. And because the easy-to install flatbed is detachable, you can always choose to add the option later to satisfy your office's growing need

	Not only does the DR-2580C have an incredibly small footprint, its low-profile, front-loading design makes efficient use of workspaces. Weighing approximately 1.8 kg (4 lb.), the scanner can easily be moved around and quickly set up for desktop, countertop, or shelftop use.
Rapid Recovery System for seamless, trouble-free scanning.
If the scanner encounters a misfeed, feeding is temporarily paused to allow you to reposition the document and then resume scanning. Incomplete image data is not sent to the PC, so scanned images are kept in perfect order. Conventional scanners usually require additional steps to find and delete the image at the time of error.
