Superior Speed and Reliability - Fast double-sided batch scans The CR-55 offers rapid double-sided batch scanning, feeding batches of up to 50 items at a time and capturing MICR data along with images of both sides of each check at a rate of 55 checks per minute (U.S. checks, 200 dpi, B&W or Grayscale). Unmatched scanning quality The user-friendly CR-55 satisfies a wide range of applications with multiple scanning modes offering high quality scanning in black & white, grayscale, or 24-bit color. Highly accurate check reproductions with superior image clarity and detail are ensured with image delivered at resolutions up to 300 dpi. Smooth paper feeding The CR-55 features an advanced paper handling mechanism for continuous, high-speed check feeding without jamming ‹ even for batches containing mixed sizes. Adjustable feeding allows items of different thickness to be handled, while an extendable output tray means the scanner can accommodate larger checks up to 106 x 228 mm (4.2 x 9.0 in). For added efficiency, Infrared Double Feed Detection provides protection against lost data caused by multiple feeds. High-precision MICR reading A sophisticated magnetic head, exclusive to Canon, reads MICR code line data with a level of accuracy rated at over 99.9%*. Pre-scan endorsements with built-in imprinter The C-55's built-in imprinter prints endorsement information up to 32 characters (standard 3 mm font) or 48 characters (2 mm font) on checks just before scanning by the image sensor, allowing information such as routing details to be included with each check image for check truncation at the earliest stage. Easy maintenance For optimal convenience and simple maintenance, the CR-55 features a cover that opens to the side making it easy to clear misfed checks and clean feed rollers and scanning glass.
