  • Large, Clear Touch Panel
    The scanner's 8.4-inch touch panel and clear display means extra convenience -- allowing for comfortable performance of all operations, and making it easier than ever to preview and check documents.

  • For Diverse Sizes
    Designed to handle a variety of document sizes -- from bank checks to B4-size pages -- the CD-4070NW can also accept forms printed on pressure-sensitive paper, while Canon's high-precision paper-feeding mechanism ensures optimum productivity with any task.

  • Faster Scanning
    Scanning speeds for black & white images range up to 42 pages per minute in Simplex mode and 85 images per minute in Duplex. Documents can also be quickly scanned in Grayscale, Color, or Mix, with color scanning provided for the front pages of documents.

  • Image Processing
    A variety of processing functions allows you to optimize document images to suit your needs. For example, Advanced Text Enhancement improves the legibility of hard-to-scan documents, while color removal increases OCR accuracy. Other features include blank pages deletion, automatic page-size detection, border removal, and patch code detection.

  • Searchable PDF Files
    When scanning documents as PDF files, applying OCR will embed the entire text in the file, allowing you to search for specific words. A high compression setting is also included to help keep file sizes small.

Convenient Recording

  • Fast CD-R Recording
    To ensure CD-Rs can be read on a wide range of CD drives, the CD-4070NW offers 52x read/write capabilities, and uses the track-at-once writing method.

  • Easily Writes Extra CD-Rs
    Document images are automatically saved, as they are scanned, on the internal hard disk drive of the CD-4070NW -- allowing extra CD-Rs to be recorded whenever you need them.

  • User-friendly Data Configuration
    Each CD-R can be easily organized into a collection of cabinets and folders to save individual document images. As an added convenience, configurations can be saved as templates to be re-used on one CD-R after another.

  • Keyword Functions
    OCR allows file names and field data to be automatically extracted from a specific area of the fed documents. OCR can be performed on a variety of fonts, including MICR characters.

  • PC Network Scanning
    The CD-4070NW is connectable to your office network, allowing you to scan documents to network folders and share documents without having to record a CD-R.

  • E-mail Delivered Scans
    Scan and send documents via e-mail to both individuals and groups with CD-4070NW registered addresses.

  • Convenient Remote Search and Retrieval
    Using a simple web browser interface, network users can quickly search, view and download documents stored on the CD-4070NW hard disk drive. Files can be searched by key word, file name, file type, date, directory, or any word in the document, with extremely fast searches by Full Text Search Engine.
